The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Foundation, one of BURKE’s longtime clients, is hosting their 7th annual spring luncheon on April 28th. BURKE is providing marketing and public relations support to help make the luncheon a success.
General Martin E. Dempsey, former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the nation’s highest-ranking military officer, will headline the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Foundation Spring luncheon at the Charlotte Convention Center. The luncheon provides funding for the special needs and projects of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.
This year’s event is sponsored by CPI Security, SteelFab and Wells Fargo. Sponsorships and seating are still available. Sponsorship levels include $25,000 Platinum, $10,000 Gold, $5,000 Silver and $3,000 Bronze. Platinum and Gold sponsorships also include a VIP dinner with General Dempsey.
“The goal of the luncheon is to bring attention to and raise funds for the Foundation, which seeks to support the CMPD with equipment and technology to keep them safe,” said Amy Nielsen, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Foundation Executive Director. “We are extremely honored that General Martin Dempsey will be serving as our guest speaker”.

About The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Foundation
The Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Foundation was founded in 2004 by business and civic leaders as an independent, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that strives to strengthen the services of the CMPD and promote public safety in Charlotte. The Foundation is dedicated to the promotion of quality policing for our community through the funding of programs and initiatives that are not funded by the present CMPD budget. Funding initiatives include recent community based events designed to engage the police and citizens, the donation of a Mobile Firearms Training Simulator (FATS ® L7) to support judgement training of police officers and the issue of 1,200 body worn cameras to CMPD’s patrol officers.
